Ball lenses
Ball lenses are commonly used to improve signal quality and coupling efficiencey between an optical fiber emitter and optical fiber detector, which is used in endoscopy, bar code scanning, pre-processing material of Aspheric Lens etc. The short back focal length can be used to reduce the necessary distance from the ball lens to the optical fiber.
