Variable Slits
The unique design of theVariable Slit provides a 1:1 relationship between precision micrometer actuation and slit width variation, accurate to 0.01mm. The actual width of the slit ranges from fully closed to 6 mm, and is adjusted by 0.5 mm per revolution until the two blades touch when fully closed. However, due to the structural defects of the blade and the parallelism of the blade, the slit opening remains concentric with the threaded through hole as the slit width changes. This slim mount is suitable for use in compact optics.
